William
Ernest Henley
Out
of the night that covers me,
Black
as the pit from pole to pole,
I
thank whatever gods may be
For
my unconquerable soul.
In
the fell clutch of circumstance
I
have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under
the bludgeonings of chance
My
head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond
this place of wrath and tears
Looms
but the Horror of the shade,
And
yet the menace of the years
Finds
and shall find me unafraid.
It
matters not how strait the gate,
How
charged with punishments the scroll,
I
am the master of my fate,
I
am the captain of my soul.

A
friend like you is hard to find,
one
that touches you deep inside.
You've
given me strength to carry on,
you've
offered your hand to hold on.
When
times are tough, I know you're there
to
offer support and show you care.
If
not for you, I would have drowned,
but
you help keep me on solid ground.
I
believe you were sent from the man above
because
he knows the strength of your love.
You
show that love in so many ways.
It
helps me get through my darkest of days.
So
for that, I write this poem for you
and
tell you from my heart, THANK YOU!

Sun
Oh
the sun, oh the sun
Oh
what we see for fun
The
dazzling rays of stupendous glory
The
opening for having our own story
The
thirst for every single joy
Even
under the moon of coy
Even
though nothing beats our sun
Even
though you know it's the one
Even
as I talk, I wonder, will you walk?
To
Heaven's gate of all the talk
To
the end of my life, where I dwell
To
still think of you and all that's swell
To
all that is good and manner
To
all written in our planner
Our
love shall see us through
Our
love shall solve each clue
Our
love is all we shall need
Our
hope is we both do heed
Our
knowing is we shall
Our
knowing is we can't fail
Goodbye
now to words and song
Goodbye
as though already gone
Goodbye
to the bad and ruin
Goodbye,
depart before this moon
Goodbye,
goodbye but never us
Goodbye,
no; no matter the fuss
Goodbye
is for the ill and for the wrong
Goodbye
for us shall never break our song
